By Kingsley Ohens

Words are simply not enough to describe the distinguished member representing the good people of Esan South-East and Esan North-East Local Government Areas of Edo State in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Barr. Deacon Sergius Oseasochie Ogun popularly known as the Oluesele Nomioguele of Agbazilo and the Game-Changer.

Since the return of democratic rule to the nation’s polity in 1999, Rt Hon. Ogun is undoubtedly one of the best performing Federal Legislators that Edo State has produced. The audacious, courageous and meticulous Federal Lawmaker has sponsored over 50 motions and more than 20 bills since he went to the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly in 2015. Ever since, he has been so active on the floor of the house, lending his voice to discussions and deliberations with the decency and excellency of a well-read man. By all standards of classification, Rt Hon. Sergius Ogun is by no means a bench-warmer or push over! In fact he is several miles ahead many of his colleagues.

In terms of influencing and attracting constituency projects to Agbazilo, the Ugboha-born pacesetter has done tremendously well. So far, he has been able to use his office to facilitate the construction of many roads, schools, health centres, boreholes etc across several communities in Agbazilo. Also worthy of mention is the mechanized constituency farm project at Oria was initiated by him. Thousands of constituents have benefited from his economic empowerment programs. Several communities have been lit up with street lights provided and installed by the Promise-Keeper. Many youths who were hitherto jobless are now gainfully employed in government ministries and parastatals, courtesy of Rt Hon. Ogun.

The list of Rt Hon. Ogun’s achievements in the last 6 years is endless. May the good lord continue to bless him and lift him higher to higher levels of political relevance in Edo state and Nigeria. Amen🙏
