Omonlei Imadu brings clean water to Eruere Ward 7, Owan West LGA
A man’s integrity is as good as his word and such is the case of Owan West LGA Chairman aspirant, Omonlei Imadu, in fulfiling his promise to Eruere people.
On Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his declaration to contest for Owan West Council Chairman, in Eruere Ward 7, the people said they were tired of past LGA Chairmen who promised and failed the communities by not having anything tangible to show as contributions to the communities at the end of their tenures. They categorically stated that rather than give them money, they would prefer a more sustainable gift that will benefit the community at large. With this in mind, the aspirant was asked to facilitate clean water within the community if he wins the chairmanship election. Staying true to his passion for a better Owan West and recognizing the immediate need for clean water which should be a basic provision in any community, Omonlei Imadu did not wait to be elected into position but instead pledged to provide this need within 2 weeks after the meeting.
Today, Monday, 19, 2021 the drilling company commenced work on a borehole in Eruere on his instructions.
A few community leaders were present at the site to witness the ongoing project. (Please watch attached video for their comments)
An indegene in the community named Anthony said ‘This is one of the many projects that Omonlei has executed in Owan West. He has been supporting the communities in areas of education, social welfare , culture and infrastructure. To have him as the next Chairman will definitely help to move Owan West forward’
