Odianonsen Odine Foundation, Josemaria Escriva Foundation, others partner with EYO to host 2nd Edition of Edo Central Science Quiz Competition

The Odianonsen Odine Foundation and Josemaria Escriva Foundation have indicated interest to partner with Esan Youths Organization (EYO) to host the second edition of Edo Central Science and Mathematics Quiz Competition for secondary schools in Esanland.
This was revealed to EYO in an enlarged stakeholders meeting which took place yesterday.
The Josemaria Escriva Foundation led by it’s Chief Responsibilities Officer, Dr Jude Obasanmi told stakeholders that his organization will support the educational event with three cartons of textbooks for Junior Secondary School students. He assured that the books will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday at their foundations office in Ekpoma.
In a similar development, the Chairman of Odianonsen Odine Foundation, Hon Odianonsen Odine also promised to support the event with the first prize amount.
In words of appreciation, Comrade Kingsley Ohens, the president of EYO wholeheartedly appreciated the two organizations for setting the pace towards the actualization of the educational event. He assured the donors that their donation will be adequately utilized for the advancement of learning in Esanland.
Edo Central Science and Mathematics Quiz Competition being organized by the Esan Youths Organization is aimed at fostering unity among Schools and students in Esanland. The event is opened for all secondary schools (public and private) in Edo Central Senatorial District. The event shall among other aims promote interest in science based subjects.
According to Ohens, “the event will hold in two segments namely: the qualifiers stage and the grand finale. The qualifiers stage will hold at the local government level where all the schools in the five local government areas in Edo Central Senatorial District shall compete in central schools to qualify for the grand finale. A total of 20 schools shall emerge at the qualifiers phase to compete for prizes and trophies at the grand finale”, he disclosed.
Comrade Ohens also used the medium to seek for support and partnership from Esan sons and daughters home and abroad saying that “science and technology is the future of any society that wish to be self reliant and self dependent. Esanland will not be left behind in this race. Letters has already been delivered to over 60 secondary schools in Esanland out of the 80 secondary schools. Others will get their letters this week”, he added.
