Esan People Resolved Long Ago To Work With Obaseki – Onolememen

The immediate past Minister of Work, Chief Dr. Mike Oziegbe Onolememen, CON, has declared that the Edo Central Peoples Democratic Party, PDP members had long ago taken the decision to work with the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki to move the state forward.

The renowned Architect stated this on Sunday, during the stakeholders meeting held in Irrua, monitored by Our Source Correspondent, where Governor Obaseki met with Edo central party faithful on a “thank-you” tour and to chart the forward for a better Edo state under his watch.

Earlier, Governor Godwin Obaseki had thanked the people of Esan land for their support during the election, however, asserted that he was not happy with the way the state, local government, and ward excos had carried the peoples` messages to him, hence he was visiting to talk to them one on one to hear from them.

According to the Governor: “I have not been impressed with the way the state and many of the local government and ward excos have behaved, they have not carried your message the way you sent them, that is one of the main reasons that I am here, to talk to you one on one, as your governor, who want to lead this party, to make sure that the PDP does not go back to the way it used to be in the past”.

Reacting, Dr. Onolememen, expressed the zone`s resolution to support the Governor as people and appealed to all the party faithful in Esan to come together as one, while stating that those who are coming with the governor will be well accommodated under the umbrella.

In his word: “As Esan people, we resolved long ago to work with you (Obaseki) and we resolved to bring our brothers from the opposite side together under one umbrella”.

“I want to appeal to each and every one of us, let’s do away with malice, let`s come together for the good of Esan land”, the former Minister for State for Defense opined.

Other speakers like Chief Tom Ikimi and Senator Clifford Ordia also emphasized the need for the people of Esan to come together and work in one accord for the interest of Esan land.
