The Odionwere and Elders of Ikpeh Community in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo state, Pa. Michael Isibor, have refuted the announcement made by one Victor Eghanayarore Ekhosuehi, on a radio station in Benin city, where the said Victor claimed to be the Okao of the community, and further recognized one Alele Alex Ighiriaro, as the Youth Leader (Okaghele), of the Ikpeh.
The Odionwere, who was reacting to the said radio announcement, denied his involvement in the announcement, stating that the rightful Okao of Ikpeh, who he recognizes is one Solomon Obazee Amadin, and the rightful Youth Leader (Okaghele) of the community is one Idele Desmond.
In a statement jointly signed by the Odionwere and the Secretary, Enoma Innocent, and made available to Wonderful media communication, pa. Isibor disclosed that the matter over the Okao, is presently before the palace of the Oba of Benin.
He further stated that if Victor Eghanayarore Ekhosuehi is claiming to be the rightful owner of the title, he should present his first son while Solomon Obazee Amadin, should equally present his first son before the palace of the Oba, to swear an oath.
The statement further adviced the general public to neglect the announcement made by the Ekhosuehi, and that nobody should do any land business concerning Ikpeh Community with the Victor Eghanayarore Ekhosuehi and Alele Alex Ighiriaro, describing them as imposter.
