Aguele Score Edo High on Security, Despite Nigeria Worsening Insecurity.

The immediate past Executive chairman of Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo state, Hon. Peter Aguele, has pass a vote of confidence on the Edo security architecture, as he extolled the unrelenting efforts of the joint security network in the state, in the recent day.
He said, in the past, insecurity took it’s toll in Edo, but since the assumption of office by the state commissioner of police, and with the corporation of other security agencies in the state, notorious cases of kidnapping, fulani herdsmen and farmers clash, armed robbery, Killings, often experienced have dropped drastically.
Only on Sunday, in Kaduna, Bandits reportedly threatened to kill the remaining 17 students abducted from Greenfield University, Kaduna State if the remaining ransom was not paid by Tuesday..
Verified reports confirmed that within a week, five of them have been killed out of the Twenty-two students and a member of staff who were kidnapped from the school campus on April 20, at the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
Aguele stated in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Innocent Okoh, explaining that “cases of kidnappers holding kidnap victims more than four days have stopped, in Edo state as the security network catches up with the criminals and rescuing the victims unhurt.
He adds, “In my Local Government Area and the state in general, it’s just a pocket of few cases which the perpetrators are soon arrested and brought to book”.
He further urged the security agencies to tighten up security more to discourage criminal activities in the state, he adds that the case in Edo is quite different from other states which has led to the wild cry by prominent Nigerians calling on the president to resign if that would bring peace to the nation.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to create state police and better equip the military as the nation faces serious security problem which is being tackled to bring it under control.
PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, made the charge at a media briefing in Abuja, on Monday, he attacked the President, for being helpless and not addressing Nigerians over the worsening security situation.
