Driver identifies ‘robbers’ in bank hours after

A bus driver, Friday, identified two suspected robbers, who dispossessed his passengers of their property in Ile-Ife, Osun state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, SP Yemisi Opalola, disclosed this to journalists following the arrest of the suspected armed robbers.

SP Opalola, said that the suspects: Abiodun Abdulahi, 35; and Godwin John, 19; who were arrested around 12noon, had allegedly robbed the passengers along Ife/Osu Road, around 9:45am.

He said, “When the driver of the bus robbed by the suspects went to block his ATM card at one of the new generation banks in Ile-Ife, he suddenly saw and identified the two suspects that robbed them, and the police were quickly alerted and they were arrested.”

Opalola said the suspects have confessed to the crime and police was making effort to arrest the fleeing members of the gang
